What is Ceramic Coating and How Does It Work?

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied by hand to the exterior surfaces of your vehicle. 1. Thorough wash and decontamination - We start with a full exterior wash, followed by clay bar treatment to remove embedded contaminants from the paint surface.
2. Paint correction - Using machine polishing, we remove swirl marks, light scratches and oxidation. This step is essential because the ceramic coating will lock in whatever is beneath it, so the paint must be as flawless as possible.
3. Surface preparation - We wipe down the paintwork with a panel preparation solution to remove any polishing oils, ensuring the coating bonds directly to the clear coat.
4. Coating application - The ceramic coating is applied panel by panel using precision applicators. Each layer is carefully levelled and inspected under specialist lighting.
5. Curing - The vehicle remains in our controlled environment to allow the coating to cure fully. Curing times vary by product but typically range from 12 to 24 hours before the vehicle can be collected.

Maintaining Your Ceramic Coating
